Booking FAQs

Please note that the Oceanarium is a cashless attraction and only accepts card payments on site.

The Oceanarium may be closed on certain days, so please check the official website for up-to-date opening days before your visit. Booking your tickets online in advance can save you up to 30% compared to on-the-day prices. Under three's go free and do not need a ticket. Children 3 - 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult, or they will be refused entry. Please be aware that on wet days during school holidays and weekends, the Oceanarium can get extremely busy. Although the venue does not have a maximum capacity, it will stop admitting people when it reaches capacity. This means that if you visit on a wet day in the school holidays or on weekends, please be advised that you may have to queue for a long time to get in (some of which may be outside without cover), and that it will be very busy once you are inside the aquarium, particularly around feeding times. Please note that buying online does not guarantee fast-track entry. Please be aware that Penguin Beach Encounter is an outside exhibit, so wet-weather clothing is advisable. If you are a registered carer, you do not require a ticket and can enter on a complimentary basis subject to providing proof and being accompanied with a paying ticket.
