See the most spectacular landscape views of the mountain ranges that surround the Shotover River. The Onsen Hot Pools provide for the exclusive use of a classic cedar-lined tube for 60 minutes in an enclosed room with wooden sidewalls and a retractable roof, offering a view of the sky.

The Outdoor Onsen

Experience a Japanese-style soak in nature using newer cedar-lined tubes for 60 minutes. The surrounding plants and shade sails offer some protection from the elements. One room can accommodate up to 4 people.

Pricing Information

A child rate is applied to children aged between 5 - 11 years old, while an adult rate applies to individuals aged 12 and above.

  • Availability of the tour will be subject to change depending on weather conditions and other external circumstances
  • The mineral content of the pool water is very low so jewelry should not be affected. However, it is recommended to remove jewelry to avoid losing items in the pool
