Your Experience

Trace the story of the LGBTQ community’s presence in Berlin and how the city has been the community’s epicenter for centuries. Your journey will take you through the existence of the community in Berlin’s history, from the wild 1920s to the dark days of the Nazi Regime. Discover the club scene of the 90s, the unlikely queer icon Frederick the Great, and learn about the life of the openly gay Nazi, Ernst Röhm.

Discover some of the most queer-friendly neighborhoods in the world, including Schonberg, where some LGBTQ icons have visited over the years. It is also the home of one of Berlin’s oldest gay and trans clubs, the former Eldorado. The tour takes you around Berlin and around places that have historical significance for the community. It culminates in Kreuzberg, where all of Berlin’s communities intersect and has been a haven for the LGBTQ since the 17th century.
