Bring warm, waterproof layered clothing, including a waterproof jacket and pants. Wear sturdy hiking boots with ankle support, these are required for walking on the glacier. Bring a hat and gloves to protect against cold and wind. Pack snacks and a bottle of water, as meals and drinks are not provided. Carry a small backpack for your personal items and extra clothing. Rain gear is recommended, as weather conditions can change quickly. Sunglasses and sunscreen are advised for glare and UV protection on the glacier. There is no opportunity to rent clothing or shoes at the location, arrive fully prepared.

Children under 6 years are not permitted on this tour. Large bags, suitcases, and oversized luggage are not allowed on the Super Jeep or during the hike. Pets are not permitted, except for registered service animals. Alcohol, drugs, and any form of intoxication are strictly prohibited during the tour.

This experience is not wheelchair accessible. The tour involves a 1–2 km (0.6–1.2 mi) walk over uneven, icy terrain with minimal elevation, suitable for those with average fitness. There are no facilities for renting mobility aids or adaptive equipment on site.

The appearance and accessibility of the ice cave can change frequently due to weather, temperature, and natural ice movement; the cave you visit may differ from photos. Tours may be canceled or altered at short notice due to weather, glacier, or volcanic activity for safety reasons. Arrive at the meeting point in Vík at least 15 minutes before departure if not using Reykjavík pickup. Pickup in Reykjavík is only available from select authorized locations and not from hotels in the city center or private AirBnBs; select the closest pickup point if needed. Time spent inside the cave may vary depending on natural conditions. Please ensure you are physically able to participate in a moderate walk on icy and uneven terrain. For your safety and comfort, follow all instructions provided by your guide throughout the tour.
