Your Experience

Asia's largest glass greenhouse garden is here! Backed by the Twin Mountains, the resort covers an area of 22,000 square meters and boasts a variety of ecological landscapes, including jungles, waterfalls, deserts, and canyons. Experience lush greenery, exotic flowers and plants, take a tropical trip, and explore the mysterious rainforest—all at Shanghai Greenhouse Garden!

Park Introduction

The Shanghai Greenhouse Garden is located in the heart of the Shanghai World Expo Cultural Park, adjacent to the central lake and backed by Twin Mountains. Spanning approximately 22,000 square meters, with a total above- and underground floor area of approximately 40,000 square meters, it is a multifunctional ecological complex integrating sightseeing, leisure, and entertainment.

Exterior Design

Its exterior design, repurposed from the former Shanghai No. 3 Steel Plant, blends historical elements with modern elements, creating a naturally elegant cloud-like curve.

Pavilions

The Shanghai Greenhouse Garden consists of four pavilions: a visitor center and three themed pavilions: Pavilion 1: Sea City Sandbar, Pavilion 2: Cloud Forest, and Pavilion 3: Cloud Canyon. These three themed pavilions are categorized according to plant habitats.

Ecological Fragments

Integrating the spatial structure of the building, they select representative ecological fragments from global ecosystems to create three distinct environmental types: tropical arid, tropical wet shade-tolerant, and tropical wet sun-loving. These three themed pavilions showcase tropical arid plants, tropical rainforest plants, and tropical flowering plants, respectively.

Exhibition Format

The exhibition format strives to convey the extension of botanical culture to museums and culture, creating an immersive greenhouse that is both aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable. In the future, multimedia images, artistic lighting, mobile phone interaction, and other high-tech means will be introduced to create a unique sci-fi and wonderful night tour experience.

Stay tuned.
