Head to the main entrance with your mobile ticket and a valid photo ID ready for scanning. Once inside, take a moment to check the park map and ride boards so you can plan your route, whether you want to kick things off with a major coaster, ease in with a family ride, or catch a show early in the day.

What to expect

As the Thrill Capital of Texas, Six Flags Over Texas delivers year‑round fun with more than 100 rides, shows and attractions—plus a robust seasonal events lineup and the nearby Hurricane Harbor Arlington waterpark.

  • 2026 will see the opening of Tormenta Rampaging Run – the tallest, fastest, longest, and only giga dive coaster in the world. This one-of-a-kind thrill can only be found in the park’s new Spanish village section, Rancho de la Tormenta.

Booking FAQs

You can show your ticket on your phone or bring a printed copy, whichever is more convenient. Carry a valid photo ID, as it may be required for verification at the entrance.

Outside food, beverages, and coolers aren’t permitted, except for baby food or medically necessary items. Prohibited items include weapons, fireworks, drones, and other hazardous objects. Smoking and vaping are only allowed in designated areas outside the park. Loose articles are not permitted on most rides and should be left with non-riders or secured in lockers. Cell phones, keys, wallets, or other small items must be secured in cargo pockets or zippered jacket pockets. All loose articles which cannot be secured must be left in a locker or with a non-rider prior to entering the queue.

Valid for one single day admission to Six Flags Over Texas, on the date selected at purchase. The park offers an Attraction Accessibility Program to assist guests with disabilities. Guests can request accommodations using the IBCCES Accessibility Card (IAC) for a smoother experience. Additional services like accessibility guides are available through Guest Services. Service animals are welcome in most areas, though some ride restrictions may apply. Many amusement rides use manufacturer-designed safety systems built to accommodate people of average physical stature and proportion. These systems may limit the ability of some individuals to safely ride. Guests of larger or smaller size; guests with heart, back or neck conditions; pregnant guests; guests recovering from recent surgery; and guests with casts, braces, restrictive devices or certain disabilities may not be safely accommodated.

Tickets are valid for park admission on any single public operating day through September 7, 2026. Your admission includes access to most rides, attractions, and shows, but add-ons like parking, and dining plans cost extra. Park hours vary by day; check the operating calendar and schedule before you book. The property is fully cashless; cash is not accepted at the theme park, waterpark, or parking toll plaza. Cash-to-Card kiosks are available throughout the property. Same-day re-entry is typically allowed, just follow the exit and re-entry process at the gate. Rides may temporarily close due to weather conditions, and tickets are generally non-refundable. A chaperone policy is in effect for guests age 17 and younger. Guests age 18 and older may be asked to present a valid government issued photo identification (Driver's license, State Issued ID Card, Passport) with date of birth at entry to verify their age.
