Your Experience
Start a scenic journey through Iceland's Snaefellsnes Peninsula in a comfortable minibus, with Icelandic music setting the mood. Your first stop is Kirkjufell, known as "The Church Mountain" and famed for its appearance in Game of Thrones. Its distinctive shape, shaped by ancient glaciers, along with an adjacent waterfall, makes it one of Iceland's most photographed sites.
Travel to a quaint village on the peninsula’s south coast featuring just one hotel. Here stands Búdakirkja, a historic black church amidst lava rocks, owned by the National Museum of Iceland but maintained by the Búdir parish. Your itinerary also includes Arnarstapi, a small fishing village with stunning cliffs and stone arches beside a marine geyser. As you explore its coastline, tales of the half-man, half-troll Bárður will be shared.
Visit Ytri-Tunga's sandy shores to observe a seal colony from afar as they playfully inspect visitors on nearby rocks. Nearby Lóndrangar rock pinnacles offer opportunities to spot seabirds, puffins, and northern fulmars—remnants of an ancient volcanic crater that has mostly eroded.
