Begin your Swiss chocolate adventure with panoramic views from the freight container elevator, recreating scenes from a cargo ship, suggesting a voyage from the port of Hamburg to West Africa, the land of cocoa.
A unique Choco-venture
A comfy chocolate carriage will take you on a fun ride, starting with discovery, and following the bean to the chocolate factory. On your journey, you’ll meet 4 industry specialists- a cocoa administrator from Ghana, a Master chocolatier, a quality assurance officer, and a buyer from Switzerland. Each professional will tell you their story and contributions to the cocoa’s bean-to-bar journey after which your carriage will take you to a themed simulation for a more immersive experience. Transport to Ghana’s cocoa farms after you meet the cocoa administrator to gain insights into the process and factors affecting cultivation and harvest. You’ll also gain insights into its packaging, art of chocolate-making, large-scale production, and transportation network. The moving backdrops, panoramic screens, multimedia displays, and sizzling acoustics keep things interesting.
Taste the Swiss magic
Your journey will end in a chocolate box where you can taste the richness and diversity of Swiss chocolate, firsthand! But that’s not all. You’ll also join an exclusive tasting session at the Lindt Boutique in the museum shop where you can see a master chocolatier live at work and taste some fresh chocolate.
The elevator ride aboard the freight container to the ground floor will give you a glimpse of a busy harbor suggesting worldwide export of the chocolates, and thus bringing your choco-venture to a scenic end.
