  • Performance Details

The traditional ritual of the Bunun people is showcased, reflecting their past lifestyle where boys went hunting in the mountains and women wove at home. The eight-part harmony, known as pasibutbut, is a famous ritual performed to worship the heavens for a good harvest of millet. This performance is unique with no conductor or music score, featuring harmonic chromatic singing that is always surprising.

In addition to ceremonies, visitors can enjoy Bunun nursery rhymes and songs, along with simple dance exchange teaching by aborigines, allowing them not only to hear and see but also to experience the culture firsthand.

    Location

The performance takes place at a semi-open space that provides shade from sun and rain. The tribal address is No. 191, 11th Neighborhood, Taoyuan Village, Yanping Township, Taitung County.
