Your Experience

Hengshan Calligraphy Art Museum is the first officially operated calligraphy theme museum in Taiwan. The architectural design combines the imagery of inkstones and ink pools to present the natural aesthetics of ink painting. It has won international awards such as the Taiwan Architecture Award and the Good Design Award.

Admission

Free admission is available for:

  • Persons under the age of 18.
  • People aged 65 and above.
  • The disabled person and his/her guardian or one necessary companion.
  • Leading tour groups with a tour guide certificate issued by the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications.
  • Holders of membership in the International Council of Museums (ICOM), the American Association of Museums (AAM), or the Society of Museums of the Republic of China.
  • Volunteers holding the “Volunteer Service Honor Card”.
  • Government agencies or arts and cultural groups organizing art-related activities with approved reservations.

Free admission is also available during the museum's installation (dismantling) period, museum anniversary celebrations, art festivals, International Museum Day, or other special days related to art activities as announced by the museum.

General Information

The system does not provide the function of modifying orders. This ticket is limited to one person per ticket.

Short umbrellas and water bottles can be stored in your carry-on bag or in the locker provided by the museum. When visiting, any large backpack or personal belongings exceeding 40 Ă— 30 Ă— 20 cm should be stored in the locker. Free baby stroller rental service is available. Do not damage exhibits or facilities, and do not lean against walls or display stands.

During the epidemic prevention period, the museum's relevant epidemic prevention regulations will be handled in accordance with the guidance of the Central Epidemic Command Center.

Must Know

  • Please keep quiet when visiting the museum, do not make loud noises, and any verbal or physical violence is prohibited.
  • Please do not go shirtless or wear sweatshirts, indoor slippers or untidy clothes when visiting the museum.
  • Please do not bring dangerous items, food, drinks, long umbrellas, or large personal belongings into the building. Please place your umbrella on the outdoor umbrella stand. Short umbrellas and water bottles can be stored in your carry-on bag or in the locker.
  • Please do not eat, drink, smoke, chew betel nuts or chew gum in the exhibition hall.
  • The museum provides locker service. When visiting the museum, any large backpack or personal belongings exceeding 40 Ă— 30 Ă— 20 cm should be stored in the locker.
  • For other belongings that the museum determines need to be checked in or taken away, please follow the guidance of on-site staff.
  • Children under 6 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Free baby stroller rental service is provided.
  • Out of respect for art, exhibits and your own safety, please do not use roller skates, skateboards, bicycles or push-type tricycles in the museum.
  • Please do not bring animals, plants or pets into the museum (except guide dogs).
  • Please do not chase, play or litter.
  • Unless otherwise stated, please do not touch the exhibits and do not cross the fences or underground marked viewing lines within the exhibition area.
