The area is home to diverse ecosystems, including rare bird species like the White-throated Laughingthrush and the Red-bellied Tit.

Waterfalls

Located at the end of the hiking trail are two stunning waterfalls: Full Moon Waterfall and Virgin Waterfall. From the Full Moon Bridge, visitors can view a large rock wall more than ten meters high covering the top of Full Moon Waterfall, which plunges straight down with great force. In contrast, Virgin Waterfall is known for its gentle and graceful flow. On sunny days, light and shadow refract between the waterfalls, creating a rainbow-like splendor.

Trail Information

The Manyueyuan National Forest Recreation Area will be closed on February 10th for trail paving restoration work. Previously, slope reinforcement was conducted from the 0.45K to 0.6K mark of the hiking trail to maintain stability and ensure visitor safety. This final stage of construction aims to provide a safer and more comfortable recreational environment.
