The Tiger Cave, a rock-cut shrine at Saluvankuppam village near Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram), Chengalpattu District, Tamil Nadu, is named for the row of stylised tiger and lion-head (yali) carvings framing its rock-cut facade. It belongs to the Pallava period of temple architecture that also produced the nearby Group of Monuments at Mamallapuram.
Saluvankuppam has been the site of ASI archaeological exploration examining the coastline north of Mamallapuram, and the area is closely associated with the broader Pallava-era monument complex at Mahabalipuram.
