The story

Set in the racially divided town of Maycomb, Alabama, during the 1930s, To Kill a Mockingbird follows small-town lawyer Atticus Finch as he defends Tom Robinson, a Black man falsely accused of a crime. As the trial unfolds, Atticus’s children, Scout and Jem, find their childhood innocence shattered by the harsh realities of prejudice and hate.
