Getting started
Your adventure begins at a photo spot with a face-in-hole board, where you'll meet your guide in front of the shop. A staff member holding a smartphone displaying “AlvaJapan” will greet you for check-in before welcoming you into the sumo venue and granting access to the ring.
This distinct experience is set in Ryogoku, Tokyo's historic heartland of sumo wrestling. In just 2 hours, enjoy a hands-on family workshop, live wrestling show, and chanko hotpot lunch.
- Participate in an interactive session led by former professional wrestlers where you'll learn basic techniques such as shiko (leg stomps), teppo (striking drills), and suri-ashi (sliding footwork).
- Experience a live wrestling show up close, with opportunities for family participation. You can either step into the ring yourself or film loved ones challenging wrestlers in padded sumo suits.

Your experience concludes with lunch and photos at the venue. Note that dietary restrictions should be communicated in advance so they can be accommodated.
