Toyohashi Comprehensive Zoological and Botanical Park (Non-Hoi Park) is divided into four main zones: a full-fledged zoo, a botanical garden, a natural history museum, and an amusement park zone. It offers so many attractions that adults and children alike can enjoy all day long and still not experience everything.
The zoo incorporates many exhibit methods that closely resemble the animals' natural habitats. The exhibits allow visitors to see approximately 140 different species of animals roaming freely up close, which are truly impressive. There's so much to see and do, including the "Africa Area" where you can meet lions and giraffes, the "Polar Animal House" with penguins and spotted seals, the "Nocturnal Animal House" where nocturnal animals live, and the "Local Animal Zoo."
The "Grand Greenhouse," one of the largest in the region, allows visitors to enjoy colorful and rare plants, making them feel as if they've stepped into a tropical jungle. The outdoor botanical garden features a large flowerbed adorned with approximately 10,000 flowers, as well as displays showcasing plants in all four seasons.
Get ready to be thrilled by the realistic dinosaur fossils! In addition to over 4,200 permanent exhibits of biological and geological specimens, there's also an exhibit area where you can directly touch and observe meteorites, fossils, and more.
