Important Info

Tsuruga Castle’s castle tower will undergo construction to extend its lifespan and ensure visitor safety. As a result, the castle tower will be closed from October 2022 to March 2023. During this period, the attached facilities, including Hashirinagaya (museum shop), Tetsumon, Minami Hashirinagaya, and Hoshimeshi Yagura, will remain open to the public.

Additionally, the digital art installation "Tsuruga Castle: A History Scroll of Light" will be displayed at Minami Hashirinagaya and Hoshimeshi Yagura. Visitors can view the exterior of the castle tower from the Honmaru side, with only a portion of the area covered by scaffolding.

The Rinkaku teahouse will continue to operate as usual.

  • There are parking spaces for 360 standard-sized cars (charged). Three parking lots are available: Tsuruga Castle Nishidemaru Parking Lot, Tsuruga Castle South Entrance Parking Lot, and Tsuruga Castle East Entrance Parking Lot
