The Gulangyu Underwater World serves as a one-stop destination for marine science education and entertaining marine animal shows. It features over 10,000 rare aquatic animals from more than 350 species, including giant groupers, spotted seals, sharks, saw rays, Mexican salamanders, red-lipped barbs, seahorses, and pearl rays.
The freshwater fish pavilion showcases a variety of freshwater creatures like sturgeon, electric eels, giant arowanas, and temple turtles. The highlight is the 18.6-meter-tall, 48-ton sperm whale specimen, offering an awe-inspiring glimpse into the romance and wonder of the underwater world.
